Gwinnett County Commission Chair Charles Bannister has resigned!
Bannister was scheduled to appear before a Gwinnett grand jury this morning in connection with several land deals. The DA looked into the deals when questions were raised about the value of the land being inflated and connections to property developers had to some of the commissioners.
I hope he and others still face CRIMINAL charges, and that take this stupid garbage plan to the big house with them!
Of course, now we need someone to fill that position who is not a crook!
Tommy, you interested?

I thought being a crook was part of teh criteria for being a politician. No offense Tommy, because I know there are a few good ones, but it seems like lying, cheating, stealing, etc is the name of the game in politics.

I was hoping to prove you could be a leader instead of a politician. I think the majority of voters prefer politicians, though. Well, obviously they do.

I don't hate it for him. I hate that all of these guys and gals forget what they are supposed to be doing once they get into office. Had he stayed the course as a public servant instead of become self serving, might not be in a mess. Of course, he might not have ever been elected either.
