So, how'd it go? Yall stay dry? It rained all freakin' weekend down here. 5 boats at the sand bar all weekend, and the lake looked like chocolate milk. We made some Drano bombs and went fishing to pass the time.....

Yeah it was wet and miserable outside. We did most of our celebrating Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. I cooked some deer tender loin, a deer ham, and beer drunk chickens. Had a whole bunch of beer and my girfriend's brother had some good bourbon too. We got a fire barrel going that night and a bunch of us sat around and picked guitars. We had a big time but it would have been nice to be able to get out to the lake. The weather just wouldn't cooperate though like you said. Maybe we'll have better luck for July 4th.

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.
Spent it with Dawn's family at their lake house on Caney Lake in Chatham, LA. Dewey practically lived in the lake over the weekend, and Harris caught his first fish - a bream from the dock.
The funniest thing was watching him holding the fish and looking at it, then just suddenly slinging it over his shoulder. He looked at me and said "That fish bit me". Of course, he just got finned a little bit, but it was a good laugh for all of us.
Harris loved the boat rides in the pontoon out across the lake.
The 6 hour drive there and back was long, but not too bad.
Of course, Saturday we had boiled crawfish. With what was left over, we had crawfish omlets on Sunday morning, and for Sunday lunch, had crawfish and pasta.
