OK, so I know its a little early to talk about the fall hunting seasons, but the first one that will be upon us is dove season. By my official countdown clock on Woody's, there are 113 days until opening day.
Now, y'all know how much fun we have at Boudreaux's for lunch, so just imagine what a blast it would be hollering at each other across a dove field. I imagine that, between the 8 or 10 of us, we'd shoot 75 boxes of shells, and probably only kill about 25 birds...
So I'm going to keep my eyes open for a good pay shoot in middle georgia for the second weekend of the season. Probably somewhere around Warner Robins or maybe Dublin. That way Red and SGaDawg and anybody else down in the flatlands can drive up and all of us city folks can drive down and maybe we can get a corner of the field all to ourselves... that way we'll have some backup when we slash the guys tires for shooting low birds.
So start responding if you're interested and I'll find us a shoot.
Bring your running shoes... just in case the shooting gets good.

I might already have one lined up in Cochran. Why don't you plant one on the 1000's of acres you have between Dublin and Ft. Gaines and invite us? ;D I'll even give you $5.00 for seed. Red

I'm pretty good at math, but my counting skills go south when I'm on the dove field.

I have an interest, depending on cost and location. Of course, I'm the one you want along because I probably can't shoot 12 doves with 75 boxes of shells, so it gives someone else a chance at my birds.

That sounds good. We might even get the Pool Boy to come shoot some doves with us. I think he's into small breasted ones.

The field I have a spot on is $150-160. That's for fertilizer, seed, chemicals, etc. That's for a guaranteed spot on every shoot.

How much for a guaranteed spot for just 1 of the shoots? Not sure but I pretty sure I can bring guests or have a stand in if I can't go. Red
