Touted LSU freshman suffers serious arm injury after punching window
LSU freshman defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao suffered a serious injury to his arm Monday and had to be taken to the hospital.
Lealaimatafao reportedly punched through a glass window in the Tigers’ weight room after he had a disagreement with his girlfriend, according to The Times-Picayune. The glass reportedly tore through his bicep all the way to bone.
“It was horrific,” said one witness to NOLA.com. “Horrible to see.”
The glass may have severed his bicep, and his 2014 freshman season could be in jeopardy. The Tigers were counting on him to make an impact this season.
Lealaimatafao was a touted three-star prospect from Texas and was ranked as the No. 32 defensive tackle in the country.

University of Georgia police issue arrest warrant for five-star WR prospect
When it comes to the Georgia Bulldogs, a lot of good things happened at the one-night camp known as “Dawg Night”. But there was a negative story that came out of Athens.
During the hyped-up event, police allege that one of the invitees went into the dorm room of two female students and stole an iPhone5, money and credit cards. On Wednesday morning, a warrant was issued for 2016 wide receiver prospect Darnell Salomon of Hollywood (Fla.). Salomon was one of dozens of invitees to the camp, and even did interviews afterwards praising the new commitment of five-star 2016 quarterback Jacob Eason–the most highly rated QB commitment for Georgia since Matt Stafford.
But if the police investigation proves true, it would appear he was doing more than playing football and granting interviews.
Salomon is rated the No. 21 overall prospect in America and the No. 4 prospect in Florida for the class of 2016. Clemson and Notre Dame are frontrunners for his services, but Alabama, Florida, Auburn, South Carolina and Florida State are just a few of the schools that have offered. He is 6-foot-2, 185 pounds and plays for private school Champagnat Catholic, which is in neighboring Dade County in Hialeah.
Salomon’s prep coach, Mike Tunsil, immediately issued a statement about the allegations.
“When the facts in the case come out we’re all sure Darnell Salomon will be cleared of all charges,” Tunsil said in the statement, which came out Wednesday morning.
