Dude, remember my Dad is from Moultrie, and my aunt owned a huge farm in Crossland. I've caught fish that big.

Yes. A good friend is a huge produce farmer in Moultrie. Dad still has quite a few cousins around Tifton, Moultrie, and Adel. All my immediate family---great aunts and uncles, grandmother, and uncle have all passed away. Sure wish Dad would have bought 100 acres or so down there 30 years ago just to always have a tie with that part of our heritage.

A .22 is a good answer for a snake. Man up! Yup. Now that Boudreaux has volunteered to be the gunner, I'll supply the lines and bait. Only thing were lacking is a beer man. ;D Seriously, when we get together next year for out annual family river trip yall need to come. We usually do it around the end of April, first of May on the Satilla River. 2-3 days of river camping, fishing and bullchittin. Red

I'm game if Bradley's driving. Problem I have is my aunt died and the ponds got gone. Dad's friend in Moultrie has a bunch, though.

I have the trot lines and limb line rigs. After this baby gets here and we get settled this fall would be a good time to run some....Sept/Oct time.
When the river trip gets planned for next year I'll let yall know a month or so in advance.

My uncle and I used to go out on ponds in the summer when it was really too hot to fish. We'd get right in the middle so the gnats would leave us alone. We'd tie "hand lines" to the edge of the boat and put liver on them, and use a rod or two to get a little further out. We'd anchor the boat and lay back on the seats and let our feet hang over into the water. We'd sit there and get a tan, tell jokes, and laugh 'til we could hardly breathe. We'd catch the crap out of channel, blue, and speckled cats, throw them all back, go home, get ready, and go out in the country to the all-you-can-eat fish house for dinner! My uncle always said that was his type of catch-and-release fishing! ;D I miss that turd head.
