All kidding aside, this is IMPORTANT, especially to those of us in Gwinnett or who do business here.
I guess I can use the money I saved from Ol' Red missing out on the decoy deal and send some to Tommy's campaign.
Everyone should send at least $25 to:
Friends of Tommy Hunter 5048 Stefan Ridge Way Buford GA 30519

Gwinnett County Commissioner, District 3, Republicans: Two years ago, Tommy Hunter was a candidate for the county commission in another district. Now after the lines for commission seats have changed, he is a candidate for the post again, and we endorse his candidacy. Mr. Hunter, 41, is a civil engineer from the Duncan's Corner area near Braselton, and has at one time been an employee of the county. Two year ago, we wrote of his candidacy: "He seems to be a person who can make priorities happen, and seems to understand the complicated process of government in a sprawling county like Gwinnett." We continue to think this, and feel that his fresh approach to politics makes him an ideal choice to change the way some of the workings of the commission is done. He is independent, straight-forward and alert in his approach, and will make a fine commissioner.

I can't vote for you Tommy, but I figured I'd expose your site to those that can on my FB page. Maybe it'll help some.

A few more converts in Grayson.
Bill and Jamie S will be voting for you. They don't want a yard sign because of Bill's government job, but they have pledged their votes for you.
Mike M thought that he was going to be out of town, so he has already voted early for you.

Congrats Tommy. Go win this thing and be done with it. We made some huge strides in Dougherty Co last night. We voted down T-SPLOST and put an excellent new member on the school board. I hoping the trend will continue.

WE WON!!! WE WON!!! WE WON!!!! Awesome job Tommy !!!!! Now that you'll be too busy to put wedgies in the weather pattern maybe DDD and I can get back to forecasting some normal stuff. I would have loved to have been able to vote for you, but being in Walton county put a crimp on that. Had you been on the democrat ticket Me and a bunch of walton county folks could have voted for you

I'm going to tell y'all when I say WE won, I mean that. The days of I, me, and my commissioners, at least in this district, are gone. I want to give a special thanks to those guys that gave up evenings, Saturdays, Sunday afternoons, birthdays, holidays, fishing trips, etc. to help me win this thing. My name may be on the list but these guys deserve to be there as well:
Top of the list --- Jeff Morley, hands down. Couldn't have done it without you pal. When I wanted to quit you wouldn't let me. When I had doubts and got tired, you kicked my arse. Thanks a million.
Randy Agin --- Y'all can say what you want, but the boy backed it up. He was there when we needed an extra body to walk and talk and hauled Jeff and me around on Election Eve as we went about trying to stalk sign thieves. Man what a night that was!! And the laughs. Holy crap!
Jeff Tullis --- Put out the signs around Grayson and drew a number of votes to our side just by his popularity in the area. Did some walking and talking when we needed it most. If nothing happens, Jeff will be one of the new District 3 Planning Commissioners.
Clint Dixon --- District 4 Planning Commissioner. He's was there from the get-go and ran interference between me and John Heard as long as he could. He's been a friend and ally for a long time.
Adam Walters --- Volunteered his time the last two weeks to come all the way over from Peachtree Corners to walk south Gwinnett on evenings and weekends. Even came all the way to Dacula to help Jeff and I out the past two Saturdays.
Seth Weathers --- Campaign consultant, need I say more. We butted heads sometimes, but that's what determined people do when set on a path.
Then of course the support crew --- Boudreaux (spelled the CORRECT way), thanks for the support online and financially Bradley ol' boy. And to all you knuckleheads on here--thanks for having my back. Especially thanks for the nights I came in from dealing with some jerk at the last door on an otherwise productive day, when I needed a good laugh, y'all NEVER failed to deliver.
And of course, thanks to The Lord for his grace and leading and my understanding family for sacrificing their summer yet again to watch their husband and Dad chasing some crazy dream to make Gwinnett County a better place to live!

Tommy I had fun helping you. You are going to have $$$ and all kinds of other stuff thrown at you like a tornado. Dont let us down. It's easy to make $ on a backdoor land deal, but it's HARD to say no! I know your good people and if you keep God in the front you'll be fine. I believe in you bro or I would have never helped you. You'll be watched like a hawk with all that has gone on in the commission! Dont sell out or I will kick your tail from one side of Harbins to the other and Joyce will drive me there to do it! ;D Your the man so go in there and make it better!

I understand Boohoo has requested a recount. I suppose he got a good look at the jobs market and reality set in... ;D He's probably hoping they find a few more votes from Tony Romo, T.O., a handful of inmates and some dead folks....you know, the same ones that voted for Obama and members of the Dougherty Co. school board. I understand Boohoo has requested a recount. I suppose he got a good look at the jobs market and reality set in... ;D He can't request it until the votes are certified on Monday. I don't know that he'll want to look like a power-hungry sore loser and lose the same election TWICE.
